#STOKED

(Do people still say that anymore?)
Tomorrow I drive from Bartow, WV, all the way to Providence, RI (H. P. Lovecraft’s hometown), to attend StokerCon 2018™. This will be my first time attending the conference, as well my only chance for the foreseeable future. HUGE thanks to my good friends, the Friends (haha), for letting me sleep at their place, helping me save money in a big way and make this trip doable. Also, I’m as excited to see you guys as I am to go to this conference.
Tons of learning to do! So many panels and talks they cram into a day. It was hard to pick between conflicting events sometimes. Also looking forward to meeting other horror writers and industry peeps. This will also be my first ever chance to pitch an agent and an editor in person. Kind of nerve-wracking, but I’m very excited about that opportunity. I just keep reminding myself that I’m the only current expert on my own book, so I’m the best person to tell them about it, and they put their pants on one leg at a time (whereas I have been practicing my unique superskill of putting on pants with both legs at once…jk).
Anybody else going? Looking forward to meeting new people!
PS: Happy birthday to my beautiful, amazing wife, Emily! I love you! <3 You are so old now!

Fischer’s Mouth
Timothy G. Huguenin
Hinnom Magazine; Issue 4; December 2017; edited by C.P. Dunphey
Poor Fischer. Every Spring a bright red mouth with big front teeth sprouts out of his forearm. It disappears after about a week, so he simply tolerates its presence, covering it up with long sleeves like you would a regrettable tattoo. […]
Little One in Top 100s in GHOSTS Amazon Category
Good things: 1) My water is running again! and 2) Little One reached my ranking goal for tonight, as you can see from the picture:

Thanks to everyone who helped me get the word out, and thanks ESPECIALLY if you bought my books! I hope you love the stories.
But the #snowpocalypse2018 sale isn’t over yet, even if this #bombcyclone is done past, so if you know of any other Kindle lovers needing some horror, pass the word along! It would be pretty cool to get into the Top 10 of any subgenre category in a couple days. I know Amazon’s lists can change rapidly, in either direction. Hey, it’s a fun ride while it lasts, maybe we can hold on a little longer.
Help Little One crack Top 100s in GHOSTS Amazon Category
It’s looking sunnier, but my pipes are still frozen, and my #bombcyclone #snowpocalypse2018 sale is still going! As I write this, Little One is sitting in the low 100s for two of its Amazon categories: Books > Mystery, Thriller & Suspense > Thrillers & Suspense > Supernatural > Ghosts and Books > Literature & Fiction > Genre Fiction > Horror > Ghosts.

Spread the word and help me break into the Top 100, and maybe we’ll get momentum enough to move up to the Top 10 before this sale is over!
Also, When the Watcher Shakes is still on sale, as well. Click the links below to find them on Amazon!
SNOWPOCALYPSE SALE! Kindle books on sale now for a buck a piece!
Hey, if you haven’t noticed, I’m running a limited time deal on the Kindle versions of both When the Watcher Shakes and Little One. Get the both for 99 cents each, but not for long. Get them now and have something to do while you wait out those frigid temps.
Click on either cover for the respective Amazon page (US):

New short story publication and interview – "Fischer’s Mouth"
Howdy everyone!
I’ve been a little slow on my blogging game (what’s new), and though I’ve lazily reblogged the announcements from over at Gehenna and Hinnom Books, I haven’t taken the time to personally tell you about my new short story, “Fischer’s Mouth”, that appears in December’s Hinnom Magazine Issue 004.
It is a pretty weird story, one of the strangest I’ve written so far. Of course I’m not going to give much away. However, I did talk a little bit about the story and what inspired it in a recent Author Spotlight interview with G&H, which you can find here:

Happy Halloween everybody! A few things:

I will randomly select a winner from all those who have retweeted before 12:00 AM on November 1st 2017, and then I will send that person a direct message via twitter to work out emailing the ebooks. If you are a nook reader instead of Kindle, don’t worry, I can send you an epub instead.
Second, a big thanks to all those who sponsored and attended the West Virginia Book Festival last weekend. I had a blast, met some great people, and got to see some favorite writers speak. I also managed to sell a book or two! I didn’t take a lot of pictures, since my phone was kind of busy being used as a credit card swiper, but here are some photos from the event:
I forgot to bring my phone to Joe Hill’s talk/signing. I also forgot to bring my Joe Hill Special Issue of Cemetery Dance Magazine for him to sign. Kicking myself for both, but mostly the latter.
Anyways it was a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to the next one. Happy Halloween!
Oh and of course, here is this year’s Jack-O-Lantern from me and Emily to you!

Happy Halloween!
See me in Williamsburg!
Hey, I’m back! In case you missed me, my wife and I spent most of September hiking the Allegheny Trail, a 330 mile route from the PA to the VA border of West Virginia. It was a challenging and unforgettable trip. Eventually Emily will put a trail report up on the internet, and I’ll link to it for anyone interested.
But now I’m having to readjust and get back to business. Coming soon (this Saturday!) is the Williamsburg Book Festival in Williamsburg, VA.

It is October 7th from 10 am to 4 pm at The Stryker Center. And guess what—it’s free to attend!!! Come by my table and get your own personalized signed copies of Little One and When the Watcher Shakes.
Don’t miss it! Click the image below to view and download this year’s program.
