Catch me in Lewisburg SOON

Boy, has July snuck past on me, or what? That’s what I get for studying so hard (had to get ahead in my classwork so I could go visit family). I’m actually in college again, can you believe that?
The Lewisburg Literary Festival is coming up the first weekend of August (3-4), which is only ten days away.

This is one of my favorite events, not just as a writer, but as a reader and all around book-lover. First of all, I love the town of Lewisburg. This festival then adds coolness on top of coolness. They always have great guests, and plenty of WV authors selling books (including myself)—and it’s free!
Come by the Greenbrier County Convention & Visitors Bureau between 5pm and 9pm on Friday, 9am and 6pm Saturday to find me, along with other WV publishers and authors, selling our work. Also in the same location will be the “Poetry Inspires Art” Exhibit. You won’t want to miss the Page to Stage poetry performance from Brian Oliva, Joe Limer, and Torli Bush. I saw these guys at the WV Writer’s Conference this past June, and trust me, they’re awesome. That’s at the Lee Street Listening Room from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Soon after that, go hang out with us at Hill and Holler and listen to some live music (9-11pm).
Don’t forget to call in to register for Saturday’s writing workshops and get tickets to the speakers: Anna Sale, Nikki Giovanni, and David Sheff. Though some of these things require you to reserve tickets, but don’t worry, it’s still free.
All this stuff is laid out nicely on their printable schedule, and you can find out more details on their website and Facebook page. Come on out.
